FHU FRAME is involved in the launch of the TENDANSE study, an innovative research project aimed at improving the understanding of neurological involvement associated with pelvic endometriosis.<\/p>\n\n
Certain forms of endometriosis, particularly deep endometriosis, may affect pelvic nerve structures and lead to severe chronic pain. However, the neurological mechanisms underlying this pain remain insufficiently characterized.<\/p>\n\n
The TENDANSE study is based on the use of an advanced magnetic resonance imaging technique called Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI). This approach allows the analysis of the microstructure of nerve fibers and the identification of potential alterations in pelvic nerve networks.<\/p>\n\n
The objective of this project is to correlate nerve abnormalities observed on imaging with the pain symptoms reported by patients. In the long term, these findings could contribute to a better understanding of pain mechanisms and help optimize surgical planning in complex forms of endometriosis.<\/p>\n\n
